| CORRAL BLUFFS ALLIANCE VISION STATEMENT: Corral Bluffs is a unique, rugged, and beautiful landform on the eastside entryway to the City of Colorado Springs along both the north and south sides of U.S. Highway 94. The slightly higher elevation of Corral Bluffs from the surrounding plains gives it, from a geographic perspective, a foothills type environment even though it is about 15 miles from the Rocky Mountain foothills. As an outlier of the mountains one could call Corral Bluffs "the Last Hurrah of the Rocky Mountains". The future of this developing eastern edge of Colorado Springs should be in keeping with the high natural resource qualities. The more rugged sections of Corral Bluffs should be preserved as a large nonmotorized regional park that will serve the burgeoning population that is expected in the area in the next thirty years. For example, Banning Lewis Ranch is planning for a population of 175,000. Corral Bluffs area property owners, organizations, and interested individuals who share this vision are asked to participate in activities designed to fulfill the Vision Statement.
